How We Cut An Inscription
Incised
Incised sandblasted letters:
Cut using a sandblaster, this is the most common way that memorial inscriptions are cut today. The inscription is designed using modern computer software, giving the letters a clean and sharp appearance.
Incised hand carved
Incised hand carved letters:
Carved using a hammer and chisel in the traditional way. This takes many hours of work and this is reflected in the higher price. Quite unusual to find today as the skill is not often taught.
